Ukna is part of Västervik Municipality in Kalmar County and is located in historic Småland between Valdemarsvik (30 km) and Västervik (55 km), close to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby (75 km) and the east coast archipelago (38 km). Ukna has about 200 inhabitants and is surrounded by meadows, forests, lakes and fields. There is good access to the E22, the main road to Stockholm.
